ANDY WAGNER, J.D.

For over 35 years, “Andy” has been engaged in the state, international, and federal tax controversy and tax policy areas impacting the transportation and technology industries. After law school he became Tax Counsel with American Airlines and, in 1998, joined FedEx Corporation where he recently retired as a Staff Vice President in Legal-Tax. He has been an expert panelist at numerous tax conferences across the country and continues to do consulting in the tax arena. He is a member of the American Bar Association and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and has a CMI designation from the Institute for Professionals in Taxation where he served on its Board of Governors. He is currently serving on the Advisory Board to the Paul J. Hartman State & Local Tax Forum. He graduated from Bucknell University with a BA in Economics, the University of Wisconsin with an MBA in Finance / Transportation, and Southern Methodist University where he received his JD and LLM. Andy is very familiar with the importance and role in our society of 501(c)(3) charitable organizations and is a strong advocate of public education where he believes every child should have the opportunity to explore and excel.
