E. JANE GALLUCCI
Past President, National School Boards Association
Jane Gallucci is widely known for her passionate beliefs about public education. She feels that schools must tell their success stories in order to preserve public education, to increase funding for education, to build parental and business support for education, and ultimately, to help all students achieve.
​
As the 2006-07 president of the National School Boards Association, she led a campaign called ‘Snapshots of Success” that featured positive stories and images about what’s right in our public schools. She believes that schools need to have a “success mentality, not a survival mentality”.
​
Gallucci knows schools well. She served as a guidance counselor in the Pinellas County Schools and was later elected to the Pinellas County Board of Education on which she served from 1996-2008. Before moving to Florida she also served on the Rockaway Boro Board of Education in New Jersey.
​
At the national level, she served on the advisory board for the “BE THERE “Campaign and Sally Ride Science. Also, she has been the recipient of the National Caucus of Hispanic School Board Members Abrazzo Award.
At the state level, in 2000, she was elected President of the Florida School Boards Association and has received the School Board Member of the Year Award from the Consortium of Florida Education Foundations plus having served on numerous state wide boards such as The Florida School Music Association Board. She currently serves on the Education Practices Commission.

Gallucci has served on numerous boards in Pinellas County including the PACE Center for Girls, Pinellas Planning Council, and YWCA Board of Directors and currently she is involved in Clearwater East Rotary, YWCA Board of Trustees, Mavericks in Education Charter School Board and the Dunedin Fine Arts Advisory Board.

After retiring from the school board in 2008, Gallucci started her own business, Gallucci & Associates and was a partner in Foundation Excellence, LLC. She currently enjoys volunteering for the Villages Foundation Auxillary.
Gallucci holds Bachelor’s Degree in psychology and a Master’s Degree in family therapy and guidance. She has also received extensive training in the Baldrige quality-based management system.

Gallucci and her husband of forty-seven (47) years reside in Lady Lake, FL. They have two grown sons Edward & Andrew. In her spare time, Gallucci enjoys reading, traveling and spending time with her family.
