First elected to his local school board at age 19, Mr. Ciak is a public education champion, advocate, national spokesperson and thought leader. His Vision 2030 initiative recognizes that the youngest students in public education today will be the high school graduating classes of 2030 and beyond and strategic school board leadership, governance, and partnership will ultimately shape our democracy, workforce, and economy. He has shared his experiences and viewpoints on education, crisis and risk management, equity, workforce development and school board governance in over 15 states with corporate partners including the General Electric Foundation, Jostens, BoardDocs and others while serving as the youngest President of the National School Boards Association. Mr. Ciak has led supply chain finance for General Electric businesses with over $400 million in revenue and is experienced in acquisitions, divestitures, and asset monetization strategies. In 2021, Mr. Ciak and a colleague concluded their GE employment and acquired General Pallet, a national pallet manufacturer, recycler, and distributor. Mr. Ciak also serves as the part-time Executive Director of the Arts and Education Center which provides advanced arts education programs to gifted students.
