KRISTIN MALIN
Artist, Caldbeck Gallery and Cole Pratt Gallery
Kristin Malin advocated for a small, geographically isolated elementary school on the coast of Maine as a member of the Georgetown School Committee and the Rocky Channels AOS, and served for twenty-four years. The School Committee added pre-K, wooden boat building, bee keeping, a garden/greenhouse, robotics, computer coding and supported STEM to STEAM. Malin served on the Board of Directors of the Maine School Boards Association and the National School Boards Association, and is active in the arts economy. She earned her BFA from LSU/Baton Rouge, attended the New York Studio School, and earned her MFA from Columbia University. Malin is represented by Caldbeck Gallery in Rockland, ME; Cole Pratt Gallery in New Orleans; and All Art Works in Grand Rapids, MI. She has exhibited in numerous national juried exhibitions and her work is in private and public collections. Malin and her husband have two daughters who attended Maine public schools.
